Submission
Deadlines
The Autism Asperger's Digest Magazine is
published on a bi-monthly schedule: January, March, May,
July, September and November. Article slots fill quickly
and are scheduled 6-8 months in advance.
General
Submission Guidelines
- All articles must be autism/Asperger's
focused and autism/Asperger's specific.
- Word count: 1200-2000 for most articles;
1000-1200 for first person accounts/personal experiences.
Articles of more than 2500 words will not be considered,
unless previously discussed and agreed upon.
- The tone/style of the magazine is conversational
and friendly.
- Request complete Submission Guidelines
by emailing Editor@AutismDigest.com.
Educational
Articles and Stories - Guidelines
- The magazine's focus is on offering
practical, helpful, useable information that parents,
educators or service-related professionals can incorporate
into their daily routine to benefit children or adults
with ASD..
- Articles accepted for publication have
a strong 'hands-on' approach to the subject matter, rather
than being a genreal overview of a topic.
- Of high interest: articles on effective
strategies or treatment programs [traditional and alternative]
related to behavior, communication, sensory processing,
social skills, recreation/leisure, daily living/self-help
skills and social connection.
- If the article is educational, instructional,
incorporates 'how to' tips, shares strategies or ways
of working with individuals with ASD, it's probably a
good fit for our magazine.
